We are trusting in God and in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to continue to lead and bless us throughout this conference year.
The Steward Board Our Steward Board are the spiritual leaders of the church. Stewards serve and comfort the distressed and the needy. The Pastor presides over and appoints the Board of Steward members annually. The Presiding Elder at the First Quarterly Conference confirms the Board. This group is responsible for the overall needs of the Local Church: finances, Pastor and the general welfare of its members. The Stewards also assist the pastor in delivering communion to the sick and shut-in members of the church. The pastor will appoint a president pro tempore in his absence.
Steward Board Duties and Responsibilities: Church attendance – It is our prayer that we continue to see a steady increase in our overall church attendance. While we have had a consistent 95% of our officers regularly attending Church School and bible study, we have set our goal for 100% participation. Financially – As believers and followers of Christ we continue pressing toward our goal of being a 100% tithing church. Tithes continue to lead all categories of giving. We are also continually blessed and appreciative of the many friends of Clear Lake A.M.E. Church who are faithful in their support of our ministries. The Steward Board along with the Pastor developed our church budget, goals and church calendar for the annual conference years. They also assist in determining the Pastor's salary. Evangelism and Worship – Our Steward have established themselves as Worship Leaders for all worship service at Clear Lake A.M.E. Church. Leadership and Development – Our Pastor, Rev. Ferguson is the President of our Steward Board: Brother Leon McGlockton is Steward Pro-Tem, Sis. Lavinia Drummond, Treasurer; Sis. Judy Brooks, Secretary of the Steward Board; Sis. Debra Jones and Brother Angelo Rivera, Representative to the Building Fund Committee and the committee on Stewardship and Tithing, All Stewards are members of Evangelism and Outreach Programs.
